It’s wonderful to see so many other people and organisations join the campaign to modernise Sierra Leone through new technology. And one of the most recent initiatives is by our friends at UNICEF, which, along with Big Bang World, has set up the latest digital learning hub in Freetown.
This is a state-of-the-art complex with 20 computers (including full back-up technology to help participants cope with power outages!) and packages to train participants in the use of vital programmes, like the Microsoft Office suite.
I’m thankful that UNICEF and Big Bang World are investing in Sierra Leone’s people. This is a very exciting initiative. The embracing of new technologies – such as my own expanding network of agric-education facilities in the country – is absolutely vital to the future success of Sierra Leone.
